After a torn ACL forced her to reevaluate her dream of becoming the first female coach in the NBA, Enyia turned to her other passions—hair and fashion. Her penchant for the X’s and O’s of basketball has served her well in her new line of work. She breezed through her training with Vidal Sassoon, relying on her methodical approach and creativity. Not long after, she opened Enyiaanise Beauty Bar with her mother, Letha Anise, who she had already encouraged to start a natural line of skincare products.
Together, the mother-daughter duo draws on that same line of products—as well as their combined knowledge—to improve appearances with salon services, waxing treatments, and nailcare. As the salon’s popularity has grown, so has Enyia’s list of clients. Whether styling the hair of first-time visitors or regulars such as pop star Muffy, she relies on smoothing systems that tame frizzy strands and a collection of natural lathers that protect hair from split ends and nesting pheasants.
