About Scubafy Dive Center

Scubafy Dive Center's veteran dive Instructor, co-founder Charlie Franks, is Regional Training Director and an Instructor Trainer Evaluator for IDEA, and draws on thousands dives’ worth of experience while teaching scuba courses. Charlie and his instructors guide small-group classes of budding divers aged 12 and older through open-water certification courses, which impart the skills needed to explore the liquid depths of nearby Lake Mead, international waters, or Zeus's hot tub. The shelves and racks of Scubafy's well-stocked dive shop are laden with new and pre-owned gear for divers of all skill levels. Rental equipment is available by the day or week, and air-tank refills, repair services, and all-inclusive introductory packages equip those who are getting their feet wet for the first time.

A very nice course line up. Instructors make their best to make you feel comfortable with what you learn; emphasize what is important and are open to answer any questions that may arise. Nick explained quite a few techniques to me and what's behind them to make me realize what I was doing wrong. Dan was great at delivery as well. Chris is bubbly and highly upbeat. The center has its own unique personality about it. It's good to know that the instructors are constantly being trained themselves in terms of furthering their own education. Overall, I have had a very positive experience so far.

The staff and material covered were of top level. I was a commercial diver back in the early 80s and was very impressed with the training that my family and I received . I needed to get my recertification and my daughter received her very first certification. Very impressed with everyone involved with our classes and open water dives. I would highly recommend scubafy dive center. 👍👍

They are absolutely fantastic! They are truly dedicates to ensuring each student understands and is comfortable with what they learn. AND have fun while doing so. I couldn't have wished for a better experience learning scuba.
