The tech, Michael, showed up within 15 mins of the start of the appointed 2-hour window. He took measurements of the current drawn by the compressor and the pressure of the refrigerant, and stated they were within specs for an almost 20-year old system. I requested and got an estimate for a new system. I found AC Express to be competent and professional in both their work and cost estimate.

Easy to schedule; prompt for appointment. Checked amperage use on outdoor compressor and stated they were high. Looked at unit in attic and stated its very old, but working.

I was told that my coil needed to be replaced and it would cost around $1,800. The contractor was very pushy on trying to get me to agree and if I did not take immediate action that I would ruin my whole a.c. unit. I got a second opinion through another company, turns out I was low on freon and it only cost me $100. There was never any issue with the coil.
