Royal Thai Cuisine, Chesapeake

We were seated and only one other table of patrons at the time. Yet it took about 10 minutes just to get the only 1 visible employee to come back to see if we wanted water had questions or were ready to order. No ambience should have been a sign. Cold, must have been conserving heat. I spoke to the one visible employee doing everything, she then cut on a small space heater. Once we got ice water, ice never melted as glass table felt like it was outside.Menus that were presented when we sat down were taken away once I told server we had Groupon. She said we were going to get "upgraded menu". Prices were double of that on first menu.She said it was a dinner menu. Yet it was only 1pm. Ordered spring rolls and Jasmine rice w/combo meat. Told there was no duck. Server came back with soup for us and we had not ordered. She set it down and walked away. Gave no info on what it was. Rice/meat dish had 1 piece of dark meat,1 shrimp & 2pc chicken each about size of half dollar with a plate full of rice.Get what you pay for. Beware.

The food was delicious. The owner came out and talked with us.

Service was bad because there was only 1 chef and 1waitress for the whole restaurant.We had to wait 1 hour before our food is served.

Food was awful!
