Water is way too cold for little kids. Facility is old and doesn’t look very clean.

Best price around, enough lanes, and friendly staff.

My 9-yr-old grandson has done three rounds of Wave Aquatics lessons at the Juanita High School pool this summer. He is a fairly good swimmer, but wanted to perfect his strokes and learn to dive...and have time to goof around in the pool as well. The Wave Aquatics swim camps were perfect to work on both those; 30 minutes of lesson time, followed by 30 minutes of pool free time. Those are the plusses. On the down side, he never had the same instructor two days in a row, so there was no continuity of instruction. A few worked on diving, but most didn't. The instruction did not build, either. Each week was pretty much the same as the others. For the parents sitting in the stands, the heat was unbearable due to the hot temperatures outside and the lack of air conditioning inside. I'd have to leave a few times a lesson to stand outside for a breath of air. Still, the grandson enjoyed himself and that was the point, so that's why the three-star rating.
