I think was a very nice room for a couple's massage. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The massage therapists were very good. We had a great experience and would return in the future.

I bought a Groupon for a much needed massage with my husband. The reviews were great so I was very excited to have our massage, the "spa" is in a rundown strip mall off South street near the Lakewood area. This should have been my sign that this would not be a great experience, but I tried to be open minded as the reviews were great. Upon entering the "spa" it was decorated nicely, with a relaxing atmosphere. It is quite small however and the room for our massage was very cramped, definitely too small for two massage tables. Prior to our massage I visited the bathroom which was in need of a good cleaning, the walls and baseboards were very dirty and there were holes in the wall; again another inclination of the experience too come. We got ready for our massage and they came right in and abruptly began, there was no questions on what areas needed focus or any communication for that matter. They also barely cover you with a very thin towel that is not wide enough to cover the sides of your body. My masseuse (if you could call her that) was nice but she asked once and only once if the pressure was okay. To which I responded, "no, that it was too hard". There was ABSOLUTELY no change in her pressure, it was as if she had a routine and that was how it was going to be. I winced and shifted through my massage and she just kept right on with it. She kept using her knuckles and elbows down my body. Then to finish it off we were scrapped with only what could be described as wooden spoons and then rubbed down with rough scratchy towels. I have received numerous massages in my life and this was by far the worst. I left feeling more tense and sore than ever. I felt like they were both very poorly trained and needed to advise their client and listen to our bodies to find the right level of pressure. I do not recommend this so called spa to anyone.
