About LA First Dates

LA First Dates has been pairing singles with potential soulmates since 2007. The company fast-tracks first encounters by holding two to five speed-dating events per week, each divided by age group and other demographics. During events, participants spend five minutes mingling with each of the other people and secretly record the name of the person they like. If two names match, the organizers pass along their contact information so the two can schedule follow-up encounters.

Horribly organized and managed. Start time was 7pm; the HOSTESS didn't show up till 7:15pm! Thirteen women and only 7 men--I doubt that 8 men didn't show. No markers at "stations," so men didn't know which way to go. AND--if the Hostess said something particularly bone-headed and you commented on it, the men knew how ornery you were!
