About East Cobb Stables

Since 1959, East Cobb Stables' 3.5-acre parcel located in the Georgian suburbs has served as an idyllic classroom for students to learn the timeless, unconditional bond between a man and his equines. The resident horses enjoy vigorous exercise on two outdoor rings, where visitors learn tacking up and perfect the techniques of the hunter-jumper discipline. Imparting grooming, tacking, and riding techniques during lessons, a stable of five instructors molds pupils from all backgrounds and age groups into bona fide equestrians, calling upon years of varied experience to share the secrets of taming the wild puppeteers that live within each horse.

We really enjoyed my 8 year old niece's lesson at East Cobb Stables. We live in the Alpharetta area, so we see many stables. Please don't let the age of East Cobb Stables deter you. The horses are Beautiful, Well Kept, and Well Behaved. Madeline our trainer stole our hearts! She is kind, very knowledgeable, reliable, and patient. Madeline didn't just have my niece ride in a circle for 45 minutes but she safely encouraged my niece to try new things during her lessons. East Cobb Stables will not allow you to ride if rain is ANYWHERE near by. This can get frustrating when it's near by but not at the stables, so please give yourself enough time to use your Groupon.

They encourage the children to hit the horses and throw dirt from the ground into the horses’ faces. Very upsetting experience.
