Markville Fitness’s main gym reverberates with a symphony of clinks, whirs, and percussive thuds made by exercise equipment from Precor and Life Fitness. There are more than 15,000 square feet dedicated to helping clients cultivate healthy lifestyles and eventually beat their uncles in holiday arm-wrestling matches. In addition to a hot-yoga studio, an aerobics area houses group classes that range from salsa-based cardio to group cycling.

Though members can opt to work out solo, there are also personal trainers ready to tailor workouts to help clients reach specific fitness goals. Afterwards, they can swing by the juice bar to refuel with protein shakes or Gatorade. During workouts, parents can drop their kids off in the daycare studio, which the staff painted in reds, yellows, and purples before furnishing it with plenty of toys and a TV.
