About Kembrel

Kembrel was founded by three University of Pennsylvania students who dreamed of blending clothes from up-and-coming designers with well-known brands at prices college students wouldn’t need a Pell Grant to afford. The founders foster a passion for the unique pieces of independent designers as well as the familiar classics of big brands, so they crafted a boutique that stands as an intersection of shopping local and national and online and in-store. Like a 5-year-old’s chosen career path, Kembrel’s weekly designer overview change every week to highlight unique designers and apparel at discounts of up to 70% from brands such as Fossil, Trovata, and La Mer.

Great customer service! One caveat: most of their clothing is geared toward the under size 10 (women's) set. I'm a 12 and had a hard time finding items I liked that were size large - mostly they had xs and med.

Great selection but it would be nice if there were more options. Also, the displays could be more organized so customers could more easily find what they're looking for.

GREAT store. GREAT stuff. One complaint about this deal though. I bought the groupon ($50 for $100 to spend at Kembrel), and then when I got there I saw that they were having a sale (50% off winter gear and 30% off everything else). So naturally I go around the store trying to find things that'll add up to $100, since that's how much I have to spend from Groupon. And naturally, knowing there's a sale, I'm adding up sale prices. Long story short, I'm at the register thinking I'm still just shy of my $100 limit, only to be told (after finding things that I've made up my mind to buy) that I can't "combine the sales", i.e. there is no sale if you have the Groupon. Bate and switch.
