Helmed by Tad Caldwell, a world traveler with a penchant for punk style, Hair Pollution's team includes a Bumble and bumble educator, a graduate of Paul Mitchell The School, and eight other skilled stylists. In keeping with the salon's funky ambiance—which welcomes the curious gazes of passersby—graffiti-adorned walls support a full-size yellow car with blue-and-orange flames and an art boutique showcases work produced by local artists. When the stylists aren't installing extensions, tinting locks with primary colors, or crafting dreadlocks, they stay busy by traveling to hair clinics and shows around the globe and by hosting regular hair and fashion shows, where DJs, models, designers, photographers, extreme needlepointers, and other artistic types come together for a cause.
