About Escuela de Tango

The co-founder of the Escuela de Tango, Marcelo Solis, has been an Argentine tango dancer and teacher for more than 25 years. Solis formed the Escuela de Tango dance school in 2012. The San Francisco location is one of a few branches of the school, which is headquartered in Buenos Aires—the so-called capital of tango. In San Francisco, a cadre of skilled instructors offers private lessons with one-on-one coaching as well as group classes suited to all skill levels and astrological signs. If you want to put your new moves into practice, the school frequently hosts and sponsors milongas—special dance celebrations with music, food, and drinks.

The instructor is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. However, his disappointment at my not purchasing additional private lessons (for nearly 2,000 which i could not afford) was obvious and cast a pall over my last interaction with him. It has made me reluctant to ever try to learn the tango ever again and I cannot even listen to tango music without wincing.

No availability for 6 months was unexpected, that should have been written in the description, I wouldn't have purchased the lessons had I known I would have to wait 6 months to redeem them

It is difficult and nearly impossible to make appointment for the classes. He will take students that are paying full price. Can you imagine the appointment is 6 months to a year of waiting time!! What a joke!!!!!
