Before bringing the pain to teeth stains, a complimentary consultation with one of First Choice Dental's dentists is necessary to make sure you don't have periodontal disease or gum conditions that would interfere with the whitening treatment. If eligible, impressions of your chompers will be taken so that customizable upper and lower plastic trays can be made. During a second visit with the dental defenders, the trays will be fitted and adjustments made if necessary. Once both trays fit their ivory horseshoes, you'll be given three tubes of whitening gel. Depending on the amount of stains from chocolate, cigarettes, or chocolate-flavored cigarettes recently devoured, you'll be advised to wear the trays anywhere from three hours a day to overnight for two weeks.
