Before hitting their stride as an indisputably delicious dessert, cream puffs ran the gamut of ineffective uses, standing in as poor pillows and even worse punching bags. Keep treats on the table with today’s Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of fresh-baked cream puffs and other baked goods from Beard Papa's, valid at the locations in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and City of Industry.
The friendly bakers at Beard Papa's make cream-puff shells fresh throughout the day, using all-natural premium ingredients. Enjoy the original puff, dusted with powdered sugar ($1.95), an éclair, hand-dipped in belgian dark chocolate ($2.25), or the paris brest, a braided and chewy affair ($2.50). The puffs and parises are custom-filled per customer order with a choice of vanilla-bean custard, European-chocolate custard, real strawberries and cream, coffee, green tea, pumpkin, earl grey tea, or éclair. The grizzled mug of Papa also serves up The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee ($1.75–$2) to complement the baked wares, and the likes of cheesecake ($1.50), chocolate cookies ($4.95 for six), and mango layered shaved ice ($4.95) for sweet treats in every season, climate, or time-twisting wormhole.

About Beard Papa's
The original Beard Papa’s began filling the airs of Osaka, Japan, with the warm, wafting smells of its original-recipe cream puffs. A double-layer puff featuring piecrust on the outside and a mixture of vanilla custard cream and whipped cream on the inside, the successful little treats have led the bakery to expand to more than 300 locations throughout Southeast Asia, Russia, the United States, and the moon. The venerable bakery has also graduated to other pint-size desserts and Asian-influenced treats, including mochi ice cream and mango ice showers, a fusion of shaved ice, layered sweet sauce, and mango chunks.
