During the two-hour event, four to six participants sip champagne or moscato while a professional makeup artist demonstrates her favorite beauty techniques. She demonstrates the custom-blending of foundation to the skin, in addition to highlighting and contouring. The workshop also shows how to achieve a romantic daytime look before adding a smoky eye and turning it into a nighttime style. Students get some hands-on practice, and each receives a pair of lashes that they may apply in class or take home. Workshops are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7 p.m.

Beauty in Motion Studio

At Beauty in Motion Studio, professionally trained cosmetic trainers and sisters Crystal and Angela provide makeup training to women and also makeup artists in the field looking to advance their special techniques on custom blending and color theory. With years of combined experience and time as guest speakers, the duo showcases their versatility with an expertise in everyday makeup, fashion runway, and bridal looks. The beauty experts share skincare and makeup tips during small group workshops, in which participants can sip champagne and learn about an array of topics. In addition to workshops, they also offer private one-on-one training. For weddings, the studio’s aestheticians embellish skin with facials and expertly applied makeup, and hairstylists weave tresses into veil-ready updos. The service menu also extends to bridesmaids and flower girls, whose growth depends on their hair being regularly watered and pruned. Beauty in Motion Studio’s mobile bridal packages send staffers on-location to administer makeup touchups, facials, and hair changes at the reception itself.
