$79 for a Defensive Handgun Course ($180 Value)

After a briefing that touches on the basics of firearm safety, the instructors discuss the benefits of a defensive mindset when operating a handgun. An in-depth analysis of grip and stance follows, including safe methods for drawing the gun, how to improve one's balance of speed and accuracy, and techniques for tactical and emergency reloading. The class requires students bring their own firearm and ammo, or Blue Line Defense can rent a class-appropriate firearm with the required ammunition for $60. The school also provides all course materials, targets, and eye and ear protection for the staring contests that precede each lesson. See the course's required equipment list](http://gr.pn/LaKrzb) for more details.

Blue Line Defense

Current and former military and law enforcement officers comprise the staff of instructors at Blue Line Defense, who aim to increase firearm awareness and the training level of the general public with each class they teach. The course list runs the gamut from introductory defensive handgun lessons to women's self defense and advanced group training classes. The site also provides firearm-related resources for the community, such as familiarization with use-of-force laws, firearm-sales intricacies, and gun-naming dos and don’ts. Blue Line also regularly participates in fundraisers and charities to help give back to the community.
