$29 for a Two-Hour Cupcake-Making Class ($60 Value)

Two-hour cupcake-making classes cover every step of the mixing, baking, and decorating process in a casual atmosphere. Students measure and combine the same ingredients used by Butter Lane Cupcakes's bakers in the mixer, concocting three types of cupcakes and icing. After retrieving their cupcakes from a convection oven, they learn to layer the icing in an attractive spiral with a BL power icer. At the end of class, each guest takes home recipes and a box of four cupcakes.

Butter Lane Cupcakes

Butter Lane's pastry chefs treat diners to aromatic baked goods that have earned accolades from InStyle magazine and Food Network. Pure ingredients such as real vanilla beans and dark chocolate build the foundation for fluffy cupcakes frosted in french and american buttercream icing. Budding bakers can enroll in Butter Lane's lighthearted Cupcake 101 class to learn cupcake-crafting basics. Like a grandfather wearing a gorilla suit, Butter Lane's cupcake towers steal the show at weddings and sundry bashes.

I took the cupcake making class here last year and it was nice because of all the cupcakes the class makes (and you get to take home).
