Held on Saturday, June 16, the San Francisco leg of the CitySolve Urban Race sets packs of competitors loose through the city on an adult scavenger hunt. The competition begins at noon, and check-in runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Teams of up to four walk, skip, or run through the little-known nooks of Frisco and nearby locales, gathering and solving clues that take participants through neighborhoods such as North Beach, the Mission, and SoMa. One lucky team will traipse its way to a $300 first prize, and the day's top three teams win free entry into the National Championship on Saturday, November 3, where they'll compete for cash prizes of $6,500.
