Sticks and stones may break bones and be used to build an unsuccessful raft, but they also can heat up to help make a delicious pizza. Tame the elements with today's Groupon: for $8, you get $16 worth of inventively elegant fare and drinks at Crisp Pizza Bar & Lounge.

Crisp Pizza Bar & Lounge serves up saucy cheese saucers and lovingly concocted libations in a vibrant lounge interior. For those fixed on hanging a fang on a creative slice ($5/specialty slices, $10/one-topping personal pies, $20/one-topping large pizzas), eclectic toppings dance on a savory crust fresh from the wood-stone oven. Start with one of 10 sauces, such as pesto or curried coconut, then dress the circular creation with protein-rich ingredients such as lamb, blackened chicken, or pine nuts. Plucked plantables include pineapple, potatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms, and specialty ingredients, such as blue crab, scallops, and prosciutto di parma, may also be applied to doughy canvases for an additional charge. Diners can pass on the flavor frisbees in favor of a sandwich such as the balsamic BLT ($7) or a custom-built salad ($4/regular, $7/large) that, like most fashionable hats, can be personalized with a wide array of fruits, veggies, cheeses, and toppings.

Crisp's drink menu arrays eclectic cocktails ($7–$8), brews ($2–$8), and a long list of wines ($6–$9 per glass) in every color of the grape spectrum.

Crisp Pizza Bar & Lounge

Crisp Pizza Bar & Lounge’s super-heated Neapolitan-style oven bakes crunchy cracker-like crusts topped with chef-curated ingredient bouquets or build-your-own-pizza creations. The restaurant also transforms into a morning-meal factory for Friday–Sunday brunches, flipping expectations on the heads with funky adaptations of morning classics, such as the breakfast pizza topped with scrambled eggs and a pepperoni-wrapped alarm clock. By night, the eatery doubles as a music venue, with a rotating schedule of DJs setting hips asway with high-octane playlists.

Reviews

The space really works well for the street. Its large, airy, open-kitchen concept is modern and sleek

The variety of toppings is impressive, featuring garlic cream, lamb sausage, prosciutto, shrimp, eggs ... and many other deliciously unique choices.
