The four-hour basic digital-photography workshop shows students how to use the essential functions on their digital SLR camera to take better photos. Students also receive instruction on digitally processing images and manipulating lighting. The one-year membership gives students unlimited access to three- and four-hour workshops, such as classes focused on lighting and posing, Photoshop skills—which requires a laptop with access to Photoshop CS2 or newer—and professional-photography business basics. A professional photo shoot is included as a hands-on learning experience, with the customer as the shoot’s subject. After reviewing the resulting shots, customers pick their 10 favorites to receive on a CD for social-media use; these files are not printable. Customers then choose one from the best of the bunch to become an 11”x14” print.

An ample amount of studio and garden space accommodates small and large portrait groups as they have their contagious smiles immortalized, posing in front of vibrant backgrounds or flourishing greenery. After the team of professional flash dispatchers finishes capturing precious moments, they digitally enhance, retouch, and spellcheck each picture's 1,000 words.
