During Orientation to Flight lessons, FAA-certified aviators introduce neophyte pilots—including Father's Day flyers—to the sport with a 30-minute flight lesson in a Cessna 152, a 45-minute simulated flight lesson, and 20 minutes of on-the-ground instruction. Flight lessons are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

The FAA-certified aviators pilot fixed-wing aircrafts over the Big Easy’s downtown draw and stunning swamplands during intimate aerial tours for two. Airborne pairs enjoy a new perspective from above the spotlighted Superdome to the historic French Quarter, which hugs the twisty Mississippi River. During each 45-minute flight (which includes taxi to and from the runway), Flight Academy of New Orleans’s knowledgeable guides talk about the city’s cultural and historical touchstones. Flights are conducted daily from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and flights that are canceled due to weather conditions will be rescheduled for a later date.

Certified under the Federal Aviation Administration, Flight Academy of New Orleans puts wind under student's wings with professional, structured flight-training programs. Their staff of licensed and FAA-certified aviators instructs small classes that allow one-on-one interaction between students and Certified Flight Instructors for more vigorous training and dance-off sessions. The team tutors neophyte flyers in a variety of courses that range in length and topic.

In addition to a fleet of aircraft, the Flight Academy of New Orleans also houses an on-the-ground flight simulator. The system delivers a realistic experience that helps students master the plane's controls without having to worry about run-ins with marshmallow clouds. The aviators also offer aerial tours that soar over New Orleans' French Quarter, the Mississippi River, and the glistening bayous of South Louisiana.
