Today’s deal gets you $50 worth of seasonally fresh, local fare for $25 at The Grocery Bistro, a laid-back BYOB restaurant in the West Loop. The Grocery Bistro serves dinner Monday through Saturday and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
GB's menu features a variety of sized-to-share American-bistro dishes. The summer squash puree, kicked up with caramelized corn ($5) is an autumnal delight. Lamb lovers will relish in an herb-crusted version served with mint couscous, crisp asparagus stalks, and drizzled with blackberry demi-glace ($26). For vegetarian options, try the roasted mushroom risotto with asparagus, artichoke, and Parmigiano Reggiano ($20). The Grocery Bistro also offers a wide variety of sides, including frites with truffle aioli for dipping, Gorgonzola polenta, and balsamic kale ($5 each).
Communal seating, a chalkboard menu wall, and art from area artists all enhance the restaurant's laid-back feel. If you forgot your bottle, pop in next door to Perman Wine Selections for the perfect pour to perfectly pair with your meal.
