During the initial pain consultation, practitioners learn about patients’ health histories to see when aches began and how long they’ve been interfering with daily activities such as walking and restful sleeping. Palpation and other diagnostic measures are employed to find the root source symptoms. With this information, a massage therapist, under the chiropractor’s direction, artfully kneads muscles and joints in an attempt to reduce pain.
