5 stars! This local Cape Coral restaurant is a hidden gem not to be missed! The seafood is delicious and the owner was super friendly pulling up a chair to tell us many stories about the history of the Cape. He brought us out lots tasty treats to try like gator, vidalia scrod and fried green tomatoes and you absolutely HAVE to try the Irish cannoli and after dinner Amaretto YUM!! I will definitely be back!!!!

Fresh seafood dishes served in 6,000 sq. ft. patio or dining space with murals, twinkling lights & maritime-themed flair

If one truly is what one eats, then eating is being, and being eaten by a particularly big fish is truly pretty bad. Test old wives’ tales with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of seafood and drinks at The New England Moorings.

At The New England Moorings, diners pore over a menu brimming with fresh seafood dishes while seated in a 6,000-square-foot tree-lined patio or a dining space filled with murals, twinkling lights, and maritime-themed flair. Sip or snack on a shrimp margarita filled with tequila and mango salsa ($9.99) before sending spoons on a delicious voyage through the key west seafood chowdah, laden with waves of shrimp, mussels, calamari, and scallops ($4.99). Homemade crab cakes grilled in garlic butter towel off with pasta while lounging under mixed vegetables ($14.99). Patrons can also indulge in treats such as the homemade bread pudding ($5.99). After sampling the fruits of the sea, aid digestion with a well-aimed game of beer pong or a visit to the cornhole court, or lock ill-behaved uncles in the basketball cage until they admit where they're hiding all the noses they stole.

About New England Moorings

Al Whelan spent his boyhood summers in Boston working at a waterfront restaurant, where he learned to prepare New England–style seafood and chowders. Although he relocated to sunny Florida, he never forgot his hometown pride or childhood phone number, and he honors his Massachusetts roots with The New England Moorings, a seafood restaurant specializing in house-made crab cakes, fresh fish, and New England clam chowder. Al cultivates a fun, laid-back atmosphere in his bubblegum-pink eatery, which boasts a basketball cage, cornhole court, and 6,000-square-foot patio surrounded by trees.
