New York Yoshinkan Aikido

At New York Yoshinkan Aikido, the instructors teach Yoshinkan aikido, a form of the Japanese martial art aikido made famous by Tokyo's famed riot police. Instead of learning powerful strikes or deadly tongue-twisters, students learn how to use their opponent's own momentum against them. Because of that, the classes can be tailored to kids and adults alike, and impart practical self-defense tactics usable in real-life situations.
