Wine is made from grapes that have been mashed and left to age, which is why the poets have dubbed it "the hamburger of beverages." Live a refined life with this Groupon.

$39 for a Three-Winery Wine Tasting for Two and a Box Set of Three Wines ($80 Value)

Pairs taste fine-wine selections from three local Kirkland wineries—Northwest Cellars, Skylite Cellars, and Waving Tree Winery. After tastings, attendees receive a three-bottle box set containing the complex and smokey Northwest Cellar 2007 Fortissimo, the versatile Skylite Cellars 2008 Soirée with subtle notes of dates and clove, and the pleasingly spicy Waving Tree 2009 Estate sangiovese. Tasting rooms are open Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Northwest Cellars, Skylite Cellars, and Waving Tree Winery

The story of family-owned and operated winery, Northwest Cellars, began nearly 12 years ago, when Bob Delf received a custom-labeled bottle of wine that was so repugnant he poured it straight down the drain. This was troubling, especially given Bob's experiences growing up in a family of wine importers and distributors. Determined to raise the bar, Bob founded Northwest Cellars, where today he creates award-winning wines with grapes grown at vineyards across Washington state.
