$10 for $20 Worth of Homestyle Bistro Fare for Breakfast and Lunch

The menu includes reinvented homestyle dishes such as vanilla-cinnamon french toast ($8); big texas omelets filled with grilled steak and portabello mushrooms ($8); and jerk-chicken sandwiches layered with pineapple, roasted poblano, and sweet red-chili sauce ($8). Nile Cafe is open for breakfast starting at 7 a.m. and lunch from 11 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Nile Cafe

At Nile Cafe, chefs blend American sandwiches and breakfast favorites with a dash of Greek and Mediterranean panache. This globe-trotting sensibility results in both breakfasts that include crowd-pleasing buttermilk pancakes drizzled with honey butter, belgium waffles, and southern-fried catfish with cheese grits, as well as Greek omelets bursting with gyro meat, onions, and feta. After the clock strikes eleven, leaps off the wall, and brusquely eats the remaining breakfast foods, cooks start cobbling together sandwiches that run the gamut from teriyaki mushroom with grilled pineapple to the jerk chicken, stuffed with pineapple, pablano pepper, and sweet red chili sauce. Diners can complement meals with fresh-squeezed orange juice or a side of grits.

I loved it. Homemade hummus that kills me it's so good and perfectly spiced chicken breast.

he gyro is probably one of the best I've ever had! The meat was VERY tender and had an amazing flavor... seasoned perfectly!
