The Original Raul and Theresa's Mexican Restaurant

The Original Raul and Theresa's Mexican Restaurant has been around for nearly 45 years. In that time, the chefs' preference for cooking traditional Sonoran dishes has earned the eatery considerable acclaim, including a spot on ABC15’s list of best Mexican restaurants in the Valley in 2013. The Sonoran style is heavily steeped in marinated meats, such as pork marinated in a chili sauce or diced beef simmered alongside jalapeños and green-chili strips. Servers bring out the proteins—chicken, shrimp, and carne asada—solo on a plate or stuffed into tacos, burritos, or enchiladas. The chefs also pay homage to the eatery’s American address with stacks of pancakes and eggs during breakfast hours.

Tips from Groupon Customers

  • “Burritos were great and great salsa and chips”

  • “Wonderful staff and excellent food!”

  • “Great food, and great for a small or large group.”
