During an evaluation to determine candidacy, a medical doctor discusses the risks, benefits, potential complications, and alternatives to LASIK surgery. If the doctor determines that the client is a candidate, then he will use bladeless Intralase all laser-Lasik technology or PRK technology to correct astigmatism, nearsightedness, and farsightedness with the aid of the VISX Star S4 laser. Six months of follow-up appointments are included to ensure healthy healing. The initial consultation takes place at Thousand Oaks Eye Center and the procedure itself happens at Laser Eye Associates in Beverly Hills.
