Helmed by certified personal-fitness specialist and avid marathon runner John Thurmond, Thurmond Fitness helps clients achieve and exceed fitness goals with one-on-one training and motivating boot camps. Lindsey Mathes is a level 1 Crossfit certified trainer who is able to adapt to every client's workout plan, regardless of fitness level. The other trainers—one a Golden Gloves champion and former Olympic boxing team member, one an arena-football player and coach for elite athletes—empower their students with hands-on sessions in private, uncrowded gyms. They also lead outdoor TruFit boot camps throughout the area.

After transforming their bodies into rippling masses of sinew, pupils enlist the expertise of licensed massage therapist Naomi Jagim, who reduces the risk of injury with Swedish massage, deep-tissue treatments, and magic tricks with muscle knots.
