$39 for a Wine-Tasting Tour ($98 Value)

On Portland Trolley's wine-tasting tours, professional drivers whisk guests away to three area wineries for an afternoon of sampling and socializing. At each winery, visitors sample locally made vintages. Tours run between Thursday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and take place in all seasons and weather conditions. Passengers may travel in a trolley, passenger tour van, or executive coach depending on the size of the tour on any particular day. Tours begin and end at 50 SW Morrison Street downtown.

Portland Trolley

Trollies debuted in Portland in 1872, boosting the city's expansion during the industrial revolution. Though the automobile eventually came to dominate the roadways, Portland Trolley keeps its history alive with renovated streetcars that sport the traditional look of yesteryear's public transit. Inside the trollies, standing passengers cling to lustrous brass rails while others sit in oak slat seats. The ding of old-fashioned trolley bells juxtaposes with GPS navigation and modern safety features, such as a canary that faints at every red light. Passengers can book tours to visit local pubs for happy hour, gaze on the colorful lights downtown during the holidays, or host private onboard celebrations.

The Groupon Guide to: Getting the Couch through the Doorway

They would never make a couch so big that it couldn't fit through any size of doorway. If you ever wanna sit down to watch TV, you're gonna have to do the following first:

  • Turn it right.
  • No, that was a question. "Turn it, right?"
  • Try to shove your head through it. For leverage.
  • Take the cushions off.
  • See if that lady will hold the cushions so they don't get dirty.
  • What are those purple and black stains under the cushions?
  • Tell her it will only take a second and that we would do it for her.
  • Those stains look like a scary code.
  • Line it up so that the armrest is parallel with the huge gash we just put in the wall.
  • Take the cushions back from Mrs. Princess. She obviously has better things to do.
  • Hold on, I think my fingers fell asleep.
  • Yup.
  • Think outside the box. What if we moved the doorway around the couch?
  • I can't believe we got this for free from the back of that open moving truck.
  • Throw the cushions down the stairs so the lady knows we're mad at her.
  • Let's take a break and drink these milks my friend hooked us up with.

Can you really get a couch through a doorway in 15 simple steps?
