Choose Between Two Options

  • $39 for a one-hour Intro to Scuba lesson (a $120 value)
  • $119 for an Open Water Diver scuba-certification training course (a $250 value)

During the Intro to Scuba lesson, students don provided gear as an instructor teaches them about the equipment’s functions, the basics of scuba diving, and how to properly breathe underwater in the safety of the shop’s pool.

The second option of this Groupon is valid for Part 1 of the Open Water Diver scuba-certification course, which includes classroom and pool instruction. Classroom sessions cover the theory of diving, and pool sessions cover emergency scenarios and other skills necessary to become a talented and safe diver. This course includes the use of tanks, weight belts, buoyancy compensators, and regulators, though students must supply their own personal gear such as books, wetsuits, masks, snorkels, and fins. Customer can take additional 20% off if bought on-site at Village Divers' location. Additional instruction after the two- to four-day course is complimentary.

Village Divers

The scuba pros at Village Divers get students off land and into the water with a catalogue of scuba classes and certifications and a cache of rental equipment. Their Open Water Diver scuba-certification course transforms guppies into scuba-certified guppies with classroom and onsite pool training. They can coordinate diving events for full Open Water certification, or they can issue referrals for students to complete their certification at another location. The instructors also delve further into the underwater arts with advanced courses in technical diving, underwater photography, and wreck diving—often taking trips out to the sunken ships of Wreck Alley and the abandoned castles of local fishbowls.
