I've been to the Mel's on Sunset many times since this location opened. My mother LOVES the 3 deck sandwich with fries. I usually order to go & honestly, she only eats 1/2 & I can make a full sandwich the next day for her with whatever is left over from the first half. The portions are VERY generous, even the french fries. I also highly recommend the gazzilion layer chocolate cake slice...also enough for 2 big servings.
Best chicken I ever had. They fry in good quality oil, not greasy.
The sides are the best - Spinach
beans.mash potatoes . Oh you must have lemonade . Also the pies.

Honestly it’s a lil crack in the busy city but I love it simple but great tasting food you can eat in or out! Love me and my fiancé recommend to our friends avocado salsa to die for !!
