Great Associates I would have easily given Homewood Suites a 4 out of 5 but due to associate Daniel, I enthusiastically give them a 5. Leaving Levi Stadium at 11:00pm we had no idea which Metro Line to take. We called and associate Daniel answered but we were disconnected twice. Daniel called me back both times, we got off the wrong train and on to the right line thanks to Daniel!

Good, but false bed sizes The hotel was good overall. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast, aside from offering only plastic wear, was above average. The only major negative was bed size. My wife and I are staying with our 3 large boys (6'3"-6"5") and reserved a room wih 2 bedrooms, a king, a "queen" bed, and a sofa bed. As it turned out, the queen was actually a double bed not big enough for more than 1 boy (see photo). So, false advertising would be their biggest fault.

Carpet and furniture stinks! Need to clean better! Get better vacuums and housekeepers. I would like to start by saying that I very seldom write reviews on properties. However, I’ve found that in my ten years of traveling for business, it is very helpful for others like me. I booked a stay for 12 nights at this location. Mainly due to proximity to the airport, downtown, and my new job. I’ve been traveling for work to and from the Bay Area, San Jose, for the last four years. It has become increasingly difficult to find a stay within a reasonable price range that is also clean and safe, without you having to “sell your soul” (leases, background checks, etc). When you own multiple properties you try to prevent having to lease anything else unless you’re okay the location full-time, all year. With that being said, I fly in once a month for work. My flight arrived around midnight, I was given a room that is located on the back of the building. All of the buildings are outside, it’s a long walk from the front lobby (main entrance). The main entrance locks after hours and you have to ring a bell for entrance. I was given a map, and with my three suitcases on a luggage cart, I’m waking outside at 12:30 am trying to find my room. It’s pitch black, no one in site, very creepy, and I can’t find the room. Also, the almost every sidewalk nearby has a climb instead of a rollaway for the cart so I just take the “extra long” route just to get my luggage in. I called the front desk to tell them I was lost, couldn’t find the room, and the nice lady offers to send security to help me. I declined bc by the time he arrived, I would have been standing in the dark for ten minutes. Upon entry into the room…their was a horrible odor. Most hotels with carpet, it’s just a given that it’s cleaned frequently or it wreaks of sn old musty odor. So, that’s what I got. A pissy, strong, odor it almost smelled as if a pet was in the room. And, then the odor was overpowered with carpet freshener. My eyes started to tear up from my allergens. I requested another room the next day. Same thing. Both rooms were on the first floor. This next room es actually inside of a building but it smelled worse. I came to terms with this being my reality for 12 nights. I drive to the nearest store, purchased cleaning supplies, swept the floor, mopped, wiped all of the dusty furniture down with Lysol products. Opened the windows to allow air in hopes of eliminating the odor. I finally showered and tried to get some rest before my Night Shift. I could not sleep. I slept two hours. The building is super noisy. You could hear the doors opening, closing in the rooms next to mine, shower running, etc. The couch and furniture was dirty, anything with cloth smelled bad. The doors, walls, has smudge and grime on them. Closet shelves and racks were full of dust. Mood and dust were in the bathroom vents in the ceiling. Anything this filthy just makes my sinuses act up and u can’t breathe the same air. I am extremely disappointed I paid $1700 for a 12- night stay here. Hilton has to do better! This is absurd. To expect people to pay top dollar for nasty rooms. What’s sad is the rooms have the potential to be great IF someone was cleaning them properly. Upholstery cleansing, touch up paint, replace window seals, wash curtains. The air works but heat won’t stay on. It’s pretty cool this week and the rooms on the first floor R cold at night. No heat. Thankful I bought an extra blanket. It is in your best interest to rent an Airbnb bc most of the hotels in this area are subpar for the price. Minimal parking. I booked my stay via Super, the booking states that parking was included. They still made me pay $8/night for parking. I read a review about minimal parking in front of your building and having to walk at night. It’s true. More rooms than parking spaces. So I guess they expect their guests to walk or catch Uber, idk. Area seems nice and is in the tech district, right across from PayPal. Really dark at night, not much lighting and no division between hotel and close areas. Windows aren’t secure and some don’t lock in the rooms on the first floor. No safe in rooms. Large refrigerator, microwave, two top stove, dishwasher. Very functional, just dirty. Breakfast is what’s expected for continental breakfast. Two LG tvs. Lots of space. Walking distance to Starbucks, Subway, and a few eateries. Advice to owners: Lower your rates and leave as is or hire a better cleansing crew. Rooms are nasty, not vacuumed well. Both rooms I had I entered with food and crumbs on the floors and in the corners. Dirty walls, doors, and baseboards. Carpet stinks badly. STOP covering the bad odor with carpet freshener!! It makes it worse and triggers allergies in your guests. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Except for charging me to park although my reservation said my parking was included.

Where is Management? We were extremely disappointed with the accommodations and service. The first day when attempting to use coffee machine after putting water into the machine the water poured out of the bottom. We wrote a note and told front desk on the first day and on our last day 4 days latter they let new machine in front of the door. The second day we came back at night after being at a conference all day only to find our room not cleaned. We called front desk they informed us that they only clean every other day. To which I said they should off told us before we checked in and they said it was Hiltons policy. After calling Hilton corporate we were told if we request everyday cleaning they should do it. However in 4 days our room was cleaned once even though we requested it. We called on the second day since they wound clean our room to request towels since the once in the room were dirty, they did not replace. After coming back from meeting all day at 9:00pM we had to go to the front desk to get the towels we asked for. I could give you many more things but I am tired of writing this review but don't stay here.

Functional but a bit substandard I stayed at this hotel for about 2 weeks during a recent business trip. I picked this hotel because it is close to San Jose downtown, and also because I wanted extra space. I have stayed at other Homewood Suites in the past which were good. The location is close to SJ airport and downtown. There are a few restaurants close by, it is close to 101 and 880. There is limited parking and it can be difficult to find a spot close to the buildings late at night. The reception and related facilities (breakfast, laundry, tea/coffee, store) are in a separate building; that is a bit inconvenient. The suites are good for an extended stay, although the kitchen isn't exactly functional if one wants to do some cooking - there were very few utensils / cutlery. It is only useful to re-heat food. There is a desk right next to the entrance which is a bit weird. The hotel has long smelly corridors. The breakfast isn't as nice as some of the other Homewood Suites locations. So, overall it is similar to living in a furnished 1 bedroom apartment in the bay area.
