    Ben Lanz's earliest athletic endeavors involved endurance cycling; he was just 13 when he won his first State Championship for mountain biking. His athletic passion translated into a curiosity about the mechanics of the body, which in turn inspired him to earn both a BS in Human Anatomy and a degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic. He practiced chiropractic care for two years, and quickly learned that more than adjustments, his patients needed exercise. He decided to supply them with just that, founding Crossfit Upheaval to combine his knowledge of healthcare with an intense workout to transform bodies and lives.
