Not every couple's first dance should have to be to "At Last." And it needn't be when Firehouse DJ Co. occupies the DJ booth. Its DJs bring a selection of more than 50,000 tunes to all wedding receptions, plus another 20,000 for postnuptials karaoke. When it isn't helping the recently wed raise the roof, Firehouse specializes in entertainment for bars, such as trivia nights, karaoke, and DJ sets. It also facilitates live-music bookings, helping great bands find great venues and vice versa.
Distinctive Flowers by Angelique boasts a staff of floral designers who work hard to add a personal touch to any event. They artistically blend leaves, blooms, and buds to reflect the themes and color stories of their clients’ events using only fresh, high-quality flora or realistic silk flowers. Whether the results are small bouquets or show-stealing centerpieces, each custom creation is made the day before the event. This ensures roses and lilies don't wilt, and leafy greens aren't double-booked as salads.

Sisters and native Charlotteans Neha Negandhi and Monika Shah didn’t let respective stints in Seattle and Alaska keep them away from their hometown arts scene. Inspired by similar BYOB painting sessions seen during their travels, they harnessed their diverse experiences with event management and Alaskan train tours to open their own studio, where they encourage students of all artistic levels to tap into their inimitable creativity just as they did. Joined by an impressive cast of local artists, the sisters unfurl a calendar stocked with a barrage of painting options, allowing students to portray a sailboat with an impressionistic mast or a seahorse wearing a gilded saddle.

The expert ice sculptors at Awesome Ice Factory work their frosty magic on mammoth blocks of ice, carving them into party-enlivening crystalline drink luges. Perfectly accessorizing any party's imbibery, candy-cane luges send drinks down an icy slope, depositing them in cups or mouths with the delicious coolness of Gérard Depardieu depositing spare change at the bank. After placing orders, ice-coordinators can pick up the sculpture from Awesome Ice Factory's frozen storage location, or have it delivered for an additional fee. Luges last four–six hours, depending on the environment's temperature and whether or not steamy love songs are blasting over the sound system.
