For the past 20 years, Darisa Davis has been accumulating a wealth of knowledge and certifications to provide her clients with a well-rounded approach to wellness. As a licensed massage therapist, she quells aches and pains caused by daily strains, sports injuries, and seasonal disorders with a variety of modalities. She also uses her experience as a certified personal trainer to instruct clients’ movements, leading to more graceful interactions and less unintentional hip checking of coworkers. As a trained aesthetician, she keeps complexions clear using only paraben- and toxin-free products from 100% Pure. Sessions take place in Rejuvin8's private treatment room—outfitted with a plush treatment bed and a gold cutout pendant lamp—where Darisa supplements services with relaxing add-ons such as aromatherapy, music, and crystals.
As a ballet dancer, David Gensheimer didn't need much help becoming lean, limber, and lithe. But when he found himself recovering from knee surgery, he knew he needed to find something that would keep him strong without compromising his healing process. In addition to physical therapy, he turned to Pilates and was won over by the sport's ability to strengthen core muscles and enhance flexibility. Though he was back to pirouetting in no time, David never lost the Pilates bug and went on to complete his Pilates training while serving as a company member with Ballet Austin and Nashville Ballet and dancing with the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and Stillpoint.
Today, when he's not busy dancing his way through guest performances around the country, David helms Simply Balanced where he helps others strengthen, rehabilitate, and challenge their bodies through Pilates and yoga classes. Students can also try Gyrotonic classes, which blend elements of gymnastics, yoga, dance, and tai chi, performed on a weight and pulley machine that engages the entire body. Beyond transforming the way visitors look, move, and feel about spandex shorts, the Simply Balanced studio also showers them with feel-good perks such as complimentary beverages, free parking, and access to a team of highly trained massage therapists.
Rick Verastegui is a jack-of-all-trades. As a kid, Rick could be spotted marching around his yard holding a trashcan above his head, imitating either bodybuilder Charles Atlas or the neighborhood's most muscular garbage man. Although he eventually set the trashcan down, Rick never lost his passion for health. He carried that into adolescence and adulthood, earning a black belt in karate, playing football, and becoming a certified personal trainer.
In between all of that, Rick found time to earn his master's degree in business, plus degrees in Spanish, government, and economics—all of which he taught at some point. Still, fitness remained an integral part of his life. Rick expanded on his already lengthy resumé by becoming a nationally certified massage therapist, a skill he practices extensively at Unearth the Power. Rick also provides weight-training, stretching, and bodywork services, all while using his diverse background to connect with clients.

For those he accepts, Dr. Ross' holistic approach can address a range of issues with a combination of chiropractic care, nutrition, massage, and exercise. In his chiropractic consultations and exams, Dr. Ross assesses anatomical ailments and explains varieties of nutritional adjustments, exercise modifications, or vaudeville routines that may help return the body to its former state of painlessness. His staff includes a licensed massage practitioner, who eases the effects of distraught skeletons with neuromuscular massage therapy.
Featured on programs such as The Dr. Oz Show and Good Morning America, Aqualipo’s water-assisted fat-removal system sneaks under skin to steal away lipid collections from designated body geography. Licensed physicians Dr. Jeffrey Caruth and Dr. Mauricio Giraldo photograph, mark, and sketch abstract self-portraits on the client's problem area before applying local anesthetic and cutting a small incision to reach the fat layer. Pulsing water jets then flush out fatty tissue with a sterile fluid, evicting lipids without stressing surrounding muscles, nerves, or other tissues. Unlike traditional liposuction, Aqualipo treatments require no general anesthesia and typically last 30–45 minutes, leaving most patients ready for discharge 15 minutes after completion. Clients can expect faster results and less intense side effects—such as swelling, bruising, and uncontrollably transmitting ham-radio signals—than those caused by conventional liposuction procedures.
