Nestled in a small one-story house, The Bistro's casually eclectic interior—self-described as "shabby chic"—is filled with charming antiques and other homey touches such as mismatched plates and birthday cards from other people's grandmothers. Each day, the dining room, bar area, and seasonal outdoor patio fill with culinary aromas that conjure both the European countryside and the coastal American south. The chefs add punch to burgers with toppings of artichoke or spicy sautéed shrimp, drape chicken in garlic or zesty orange sauce, and drizzle beef medallions in a glaze of brandy-peppercorn reduction.
