They need better upfront customer service (older lady), not to customer service oriented nor nice. My nails both mani and pedi weren't nicely done. My 10 year old could've done a better job.

First of all they don't have proper equipment. I had to put my feet in their lap as I got my nails done. They didn't do a salt scrub, or pumas my heals. Then when I was getting my fingers done they didn't fully paint my whOle nail and within 4 hours the paint was already coming off, and I wasn't doing and hard labor if you will. Not happy at all. I understand that they are a school, but where we're the instructors to help them?

so, I bought the deal for 2, it was almost impossible to get an appt., finally made the apt, got there, & they tried to say they could only do one of us. Dark, unsmiling looks. Finally they figured out how to make it work, the girls that gave us our mani pedis were good, fun, def not polished, but that is just experience. Price couldn't be beat. It was 2 1/2 hours, which is quite a bit longer than usual. All in all good experience for the price, and after the frustration of trying to get appointment.

The student that did my mani-pedi didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She cut my nails down like asked, but did not file them or do anything with my cuticles. And I could have painted my nails nicer than she did. I realize that they are students and are learning but not even the basics of a mani-pedi where done.

Nail tec was rude kept playing with her phone. I couldn't talk to her because she had ear phones on. She was afraid to mess up her nails so my mani pedi turned out very bad I came out with my whole entire big toe the color of the polish. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

While I understand this is a school and the point is that the students learn, the mani pedi I received was not good by any stretch of the imagination. There are noticeable gaps without paint on both my fingernails and toenails. The cuticles on my toes were not pushed back at all and only two of them were done correctly on my fingers. The instructor did not even come and check them before I left. Again, I completely understand that they are learning and that this is practice but if I wanted my nails to look like I painted themself (and poorly at that), I would just paint them and not pay it.

From Our Editors

Tina Tapia, the owner of Adorabella Beauty Academy and of her own salon, knows that hands-on experience is key for students perfecting the arts of cosmetology, barbering, and nail technology. Accordingly, the pupils at Adorabella transform manes and nails under the close supervision and guidance of a licensed instructor. They wield Matrix hair care products as they color tresses, relax curls, or perm limp locks. Those in the nail-technology program pamper fingertips with nail art, CND manicures, and fiberglass wraps. The academy teaches classes in both English and Spanish, enabling talented students who speak either language to pursue their dreams of speaking either language in the dreams where they are doing Selena's hair.
