About Mountain Trail Rides

Mountain Trail Rides takes their clients on scenic horse rides through the Canaan Valley Resort State Park. The local fauna and flora are observed in their natural habitats. Wildlife sightings are frequent, giving tour-goers many chances to take pictures of animals such as the black bear and the white-tailed deer. Fauna is not the only thing that can be captured through a camera lens, vantage points near Bald Knob help riders witness views of the highest valley east of the Mississippi River. As well as this, the tour guides are also well-versed in the surrounding areas and their rich history, providing anecdotes along the way.
