The company offered a Groupon, but only allowed it to download as two separate coupons, then when I wanted to use them, I could only use one per day. I had to make a separate trip to complete my purchase, which was very inconvenient. I will find another candy store for my next purchase of candy. p

Went to the one on Niagara Falls Blvd. Not as nice as the Fowlers on Union or Transit. Did not have sponge candy in regular size. Never heard of mini sponge candy! I would not return to that store.

The River Rock location is small and has a limited variety, and you could only use one coupon per visit which was annoying. The deal was 2 groupons for 10.00 which doesn't give you the flexibility to go and use them up. Other than that, it was a good deal.

The Groupon was for two $10 certificates, and on the top of both the certificates it said $20. The fine print said must use full value in one purchase. I went there intending to spend the $20, but at checkout was told you could only use one of the certificates per visit, or $10. (I was purchasing two boxes of $10.99 chocolates as gifts, so thanks for making me choose between which friend I have to like better!) So you force me to get two for $20, but then I can only use $10 of it? I see what you're doing, forcing me to come into the store twice, hoping I'll spend more. Not gonna work, but nice try. Please don't put $20 on the header of a certificate that is only valued for $10. Thanks.

Their candy is a bit pricer than their nearest competitor Watsons. Fowlers should think of other ways to add value as $10 doesn't buy much there Thanks

From Our Editors

Toting a modest selection of chocolate confections and candies, Joseph A. Fowler entered the 1901 Pan-American Exposition hoping to plant the seed for a business in his newfound home of Buffalo. The company—founded in 1910—grew with each successive generation, and more than a century later, Fowler's celebrated chocolates continue to placate palates at several retail locations. The chocolatier has become synonymous with treats such as milk- and dark-chocolate truffles dubbed truffaloes, as well as sponge candy, which boasts a molasses-like flavor and an initially hard texture that quickly melts in the mouth. Like Count Chocula’s hairpiece, all of Fowler's fine-chocolate treats are crafted from the seeds of the theobroma cacao tree and use up to 60% cocoa solids for a rich cocoa flavor.
