Mermaid school was so much fun! It was 1 hour long, there were 2 other girls with me and then there was the instructor. Very laid back and fun experience. The whole time spent in the pool with your mermaid suit on was beautiful and truly elegant feeling.

A bit hard to find but a great experience overall. My daughter loved it.
So much fun! Got some great pictures!
Overall it was fun, but it was more of a fitness class rather than just free swimming with the tail.
Very enjoyable. The instructor was excellent. They did a lot in an hour.
Staff was very warm and engaging. Clear directions were given upon arrival in the class area. The class consisted of basic swim mechanics for a monofin and tail, along with group activities, games, and a light exercise demonstration. This was an excellent introductory class and I will be returning for other classes.
What a fun experience! 100% would recommend if it's something you are interested in.
So much fun and well organized !!
It was a fun experience. Definitely would go again to be a mermaid for a day!

From Our Editors
In The Little Mermaid, Ariel yearns for a pair of human legs. But that was just a fairy tale—in real life, everyone yearns for a mermaid tail. At AquaMermaid School of Chicago, dreams can come true, as human swimmers—adults and kids alike—transform into shimmering, graceful mermaids with the help of artificial tails complete with colorful scales and broad, delicate fins. Before they can glide through the water, though, students have to learn how to swim with the apparatus. During classes or parties, instructors progress from basic tail-swimming lessons to advanced techniques such as underwater choreography. Many times, a course or birthday bash will conclude with a photoshoot, so mermaids can immortalize their new moves and prove their mermaid pedigrees to skeptical seagulls.
