Bastien's Restaurant, Denver

Awesome! I've been going there for years but tonight I used an expired pandemic Groupon and bought a sandwich to go. Wow! Everything they do is excellent. There was no compromise, the steak was tender and flavorful. A truly enjoyable meal.

Top-notch service and food. They just won the 5280 Top of the Town 2021 Best Chef and Best Steakhouse and it shows! Kelly, at the Bar, helped me with my takeout order and she was so professional, friendly and efficient! The food was well-prepared, well packaged and delicious!

I have had food from Bastien's twice. Once was before I used this Groupon, for my birthday on June 10. I dined in. As a solo diner, I was virtually ignored the whole time, in favor of larger parties. When I used this Groupon, I called FOUR times to place a carry-out order. Each time, I got a recording, no live person. I left a message. Someone called me back, and I placed my order. When I went to pick it up, I told the manager of the problems I had encountered. He told me that when they are busy, phone calls are not a priority. Really? Then, why offer a Groupon for carry-out?? He also told me he couldn't afford to hire someone, just to answer the phone. This makes me wonder how many people got the recording, and gave up on ordering food. How much business did Bastien's lose, as a result? Maybe, they should re-think hiring someone to answer the phone. The manager was arrogant and condescending, and offered no apology. In both instances, the gross lack of customer service I experienced at Bastien's was astounding. I will never order food from Bastien's again, either dining in or carry-out.
