MagicBus began as a tour company, taking large, pre-booked groups into wild Alberta for ski tours. But the longer the guides ran their route, the more they heard that individual skiers wanted the same ease of transportation large groups were getting. Since they were already using their buses on those in-demand routes, they decided to open their reservations up for individual skiers, opening up a brand new way for singles and small groups to hit the slopes and make short-lasting snow angels.
Today MagicBus run groups of just about every size to Marmot Basin and Lake Louise. There are also package deals for individuals: the MagicBus Boarding Pass, for instance, gives passengers two-way transportation to either ski resort, plus a full-day lift ticket including all fees and taxes along with a free bottle of water. With all the runs they do to each location, the company now ferries more than 7,000 skiers annually.
