Some athletes want to focus on endurance. Others want to unlock their competitive spirit. Still others hope to get their chakra energy flowing. At CycleBar, there's an indoor cycling class for all those goals and more, each with its own light show and music. It's not just any music, either. Class playlists are high-octane, carefully-curated mixes of top 40 hits and indie tracks, starring artists from Iggy Azalea to Phantogram.

Regardless of theme and tunes, all sessions have one key thing in common: high-tech stationary bikes, which the CycleBar team dubs "intelligent." While not quite self-aware enough to be vain about their handlebars' symmetry, the cycles do store each athlete's workout stats, allowing for long-term fitness tracking.

Melinda is a fantastic instructor who is very knowledgeable and encouraging and walked us through the basics of setting up the bike/seat for our height, positions, kept an eye on our form and challenged us to push ourselves further than we expected. Extremely impressed with the service, attention to detail, amenities and facilities of CycleBar Fort Lee. Shoes in your size will be left in the cubicle of the bike # where you check in. A free bottle, fruit, snacks, etc. are provided and there are 2 bathrooms, 2 showers and an additional shower with toilet and combination lockers for use. A towel is left on the bikes before class which is a nice touch. Parking could be a challenge as with any busy city/area, but give yourself time to find parking if choosing the meters or in the parking garage behind this location where 90 minutes is free
