Palm Tree Restaurant offers its patrons something they likely have never tried before—ackee. According to the National Library of Jamaica, the fruit is widely consumed in Jamaica, but Jamaicans are among the only people who eat it. As a result, ackee prepared with saltfish is the country's national dish.
At Palm Tree Restaurant, diners can enjoy that meal and other Caribbean favorites, including oxtail, curry goat, and jerk chicken. They can even eat ackee and saltfish for breakfast or order more classic American breakfast eats, such as a pancake shaped like a bald eagle.
