Although it's an Italian eatery, Vito's By the Park has a seafood bent. This is most evident in its raw bar, which serves up fresh clams and colossal shrimp along with raw oysters, which are $1 each every Thursday. Vito's cooked menu, on the other hand, highlights creative Italian staples. Breaded eggplant sates appetites in plates of eggplant parmigiana or atop the eggplant pizza. Pastas, similarly, can come tossed in a classic bolognese sauce, or an eclectic, caper-studded mix of chicken, artichoke hearts, and prosciutto.
