The World War II re-enactment was a treat to our part of 4. My son's friend was a history buff and he was impressed with all of the World War II items and the re-enacted battle near the end of the war in 1945. Finding the details about the event took some effort, but once you found it, then you knew you had to be there at 2:00 pm to see the acted battle. There were folks dressed as soldiers from Germany, Britain and the USA. There were the different camps of the allies and Germans, gun demonstrations and plenty of items which belonged to the 1945 era. We also bought some refreshments prior to the major battle. This was a cool and sunny day and this event was enjoyed by all.

Went there with 4 & 5 year old grandsons for home school Colonial Day. They loved it! They participated in a musket rifle March. Enjoyed interacting with Colonial-clad docents, seeing the old log buildings and the animals. One suggestion: to ward off hunger, pack a lunch (there are lots of picnic areas). There was one food truck there but it only sold drinks and treats like funnel cakes, no sandwiches or anything. We definitely plan to return, will just pack a lunch the next time!

An interesting mixture of Celtic and early American influence of the region as seen through the eyes of the settlers of this site. This was a good outing for a family that provided enough activity for children and interest for adults while not be overwhelmed by huge crowds. Good mix of vendors with Celtic clan info, items for sale of interest and food. Good music, dance and reenactment events.

The Celtic Festival was fun, but I am glad I didn't pay full price for the tickets. The event was small, and the performances (especially the bagpipe and drums) were very short. Some vendors only took cash. We found a great parking space however others had to park far away, did not see a shuttle of any sort.
