Awesome time for even better price!
wouldn't have known about it with out groupon. was going to go to the EMP or to Freak Night, but this came up. A friend was going and she suggested it so we all went. Had a blast. Drinks weren't watered down or weak like a lot of places do and everyone's being dressed up for Halloween was so much fun.
I was so looking forward to the Bonza bash halloween masquerade costume ball that's why I bought the tickets for me and m bf. But when i showed up to the entrance everything was fine, thought the amtosphere was nice and lifefull. as the song keeps playing, it was the same type of music, techno t ype. I was hoping they would play some hip hop or different varieties of songs, but they didn't. on top of that, the drink was expensive. we stayed there for approximately one hr. and we decided to leave. very disappointed, not what i expected.
We expected more of a club scene, not a rave. The choices behind the bar were weak. With the number of people that were there and seeing the prizes that were given away, one would expect a lot more than was given. It's a very good possibility that I will check out other venues in the years to come.
The music at the Bonza Bash was terrible. No wonder people take crazy drugs at parties like this. How else can you dance to that mess? I will not be going to anymore of the future Halloween parties for Bonza Bash. I'll stick to the Risque Halloween party. WAY more fun. Sorry to be so rude, but I can't get over how horrible the music was.
It was a good time, I think the music could have been better.
I went to the Bonza Bash a few years ago at the Seattle Aquarium and had a wonderful experience. It was so elegant and there was lots to do. This year was nothing like that, they had horrible music and only one room. Most of the time was spent in different lines.
It started out as a really classy event with live music and nice people. At the end it was just a DJ and a much younger crowd who threw plastic cups all over the floor. You really had to watch where you stepped. The drinks were expensive and lines at the bar were too long. I did not like the ticket system, just use cash or card.
This was a great event. I'm glad I found it on Groupon!
Not much sitting room, they need to have two different ball rooms going on at the same time with the Jazz/swinging in one and the R&B/Hip hop in the other room, not rotate an hour at a time.
From Our Editors
Bonza Bash began when two Australian transplants living in Seattle decided to throw a combined birthday bash in Seattle. They drew inspiration from one of their homeland's signature parties, an annual event that finds comandeering busses, planes, and choppers for an all-night party under the stars of the rugged outback. Since the initial party in 2005, Bonza Bash has grown into a staple of Seattle's social scene, hosting bashes at venues including EMP, The Seattle Aquarium, Fremont Studios, and the Space Needle.
