Dinner was awful. When we told the manager it was not good, he just said "sorry." We have been there a lot of times but I think their food and service has declined significantly. We will not go again.

Nice atmosphere reminiscent of supper club. Service very good. View in summer in particular is beautiful of small lake. Typical restaurant fare.

There is a bar like seating area which is more casual and typically more noises but if you prefera more intimate setting select the dining room. Menu is the same.

Seemed kind of dead for a Saturday, but it was just after a snow storm. Previous experience from quite a while ago was horrible. This time it was great! Great service! Even the Chef came out and asked how everything was My wife ordered walleye and was a kind of disappointed and explained that he had talked with his fish purveyor since the walleye tasted fishier than normal. My Prime Rib Was excellent. Our server was very nice and attentive. Comped us Desert because of disappointment with walleye. If you had experienced bad service in the past, I would recommend giving it another shot. I think they have had a change in staff (Management / Chef) since the last visit.

Nice atmosphere, pleasant hostess, but nothing was done about the overly salted french fries or sweet potato fries when we told our waitress. I would not make the effort to return to the Chart House.

We had this groupon in the summer and they didn't have enough help, so we waited and waited and gave up and left. We just used the face value for cocktails recently and that was okay and we even got a few free drinks.

we were there for lunch, the ONLY 2 people in the restraunt. Service was extremly slow, waited 30 minutes for our sandwiches. The manager left to run an errand and came back, asked how our food was and we told him we did not get it yet. He went to check on it and then we got it within minutes. the waitress was not very attentive, too busy watching the football game in the bar area. Not impressed, would not recommend to anyone. Food was very salty also. Never offered a dessert or anything to comp our long wait time for food. I can see why we were the only patrons at the restraunt, should have been a sign to us when you pull up and the parking lot is empty.

We arrived around 12:30 for the brunch. All of the items were available, but seemed old. The cinnamon rolls were hard, the muffins for the eggs benedict were hard, and the prime rib was tasteless. We have had the brunch at the Chart House a couple times before, and it was better than this last visit.

Yes. It would be great to have someone greet you when you walk in instead of waiting for someone to show up, although staff went and got the host right away.

From Our Editors

Executive Chef Keith Johnson pairs premium ingredients with homemade touches to build Chart House's menu of hearty gourmet fare. Canadian walleye, scallops wrapped in apple-smoked bacon, hand-cut steaks of premium corn-fed cattle, and Alaskan snow crab form the basis of mouthwatering dishes, with unique elements including housemade applesauce, seven-spice butter, and grade-A pure maple syrup enhancing the already heady flavors. A Friday night fish fry welcomes guests to the softly lit dining room throughout the season of Lent, and regular live music events fill the air with sounds more melodious than the yawns of an opera singer.

The restaurant, which opened in 1968, is part of a larger event center that has indoor and outdoor reception sites used for weddings, corporate events, and Juggalo Championship Wrestling competitions. Located on the shores of Lake Kingsley, Chart House offers picturesque lakeside and garden views.
